Terms & Conditions
The contract shall consist of our offer and your acceptance. The quotation is provided on the basis that your staircase and surrounding areas are suitable for a stairlift installation
We will aim to deliver and install the stairlift as arranged with you. All delivery dates are given as accurately as possible, but we cannot guarantee them. We shall not be liable for any delays due to lack of availability of labour/materials which are beyond our control.
In some cases a handrail may have to be removed to accommodate the installation. Normally we would advise you to arrange for this to be carried out by a local tradesperson. However, we can remove your hand rail at no extra cost but this would be removal only.
- Terms of Payment/VAT/Late Payments
All prices quoted are inclusive of VAT. Full payment must be available to our installation engineer on the day of your installation. Payment methods accepted are cash/cheque/card. Payment must be paid in full when ordering a curved stairlift as the track is made for your staircase only. There will be no refunds once the order has been processed.
In the event of late payment (rental Stairlifts) Slimline Stairlifts reserve the right to charge interest on the whole amount in accordance with The Late Payment of Commercial Debts (interest) Act 1998′
- Ownership of the stairlift
You will only own the stairlift once all amounts owed to us are paid in full. Until that time, Slimline Stairlifts have the right to remove the stairlift at any given time.
Any lift purchased and installed by Slimline Stairlifts Ltd will come with a 12 month manufacturer’s warranty. This date will commence on the day your stairlift has been fitted. This will cover you for call outs, labour and any parts required. It does not cover for any problems caused by the stairlift being used incorrectly or being damaged by you or other people in your household, switches/parts broken due to excess force, water ingress, any foreign objects inside the lift or if the lift is turned off when we arrive. Charges will occur in the event of any of these incidents happening.
You have the right to cancel this contract. The cancellation period will expire 14 days from the day the stairlift is installed. You must inform us of your decision to cancel this contract by a clear statement ( letter sent via recorded delivery or email ) addressed to Slimline Stairlifts Ltd, Unit 3, Chalon Way Industrial Estate, Chalon Way East, St Helens, WA10 1AU or email to: email@example.com. We will collect the stairlift that has been supplied and we will make the reimbursement without delay, and not later than 14 days after we have received the stairlift back. We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment that was used in the initial transaction unless you have specified otherwise. You will not be reimbursed for any alterations that have been made to the track whilst on site of installation nor any damage caused to the stairlift by user error or any of the examples stated in the warranty section. Please note standard rails are 180 inches. The stairlift will be examined by a qualified engineer on return to our warehouse. If any further faults/damage is found caused by any of the reasons mentioned in the warranty section, further costs will apply.
- Call out procedure
Breakdowns are prioritised and whenever possible will be attended to within 24 hours, once the call has been logged.
